Standing seam metal roofs have become popular in hot and humid South and have shed their industrial roots to become an architectural statement for residential homes.
Standing seam roofs come in many shapes and sizes. In some instances, the vertical panels are cut to length at a factory and delivered to the job site. This requires a long lead time, leaves no room for error and involves logistical delivery issues that must be dealt with. A faster and in many situations, a better option is to have the metal shaped and cut right on the job site using portable equipment.
